MAKEUP USERS I NEED HELP!!!!!! does anyone know any primers + foundations + concealers that are full coverage + will last LOOOOOONG like all day long + are good for oily skin 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
As a hoping to get back into makeup and fx artist (when indie films can recover and adapt to covid/when AMPTP will make a fair deal with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA) my advice would be first and foremost to look into professional brands used on sets as they are usually full coverage and long lasting/waterproof. Brands like Graftobian, Mehron, Kryolan and some Ben Nye but also MAC’s studio finish/fix line.
I also have used both Mehron Barrier Spray and Kryolan Fixing Spray to set and waterproof various makeup (Estee Lauder Doublewear, Viseart, NARS, L’Oréal, Kevyn Aucoin and i think once I worked with an old Revlon Photoready set.)
One thing to remember no matter what brand is in your budget or your style-make sure you’re making your products either all water based or all silicone based. Primers, foundations and concealers. If you mix silicone under water or vice versa they tend to pill, or create a weird texture and usually the silicone based products will slide off your face in long wear situations.
